Volunteer Facilitators Needed!
We need compassionate volunteers to co-facilitate our English circles in Abbotsford, Burnaby, Langley, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Surrey, Delta, and Vancouver; Farsi, Cantonese, and Mandarin circles in Coquitlam; Filipino in Surrey; and Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin in Vancouver.

Initial Facilitator Training Workshop
The Parent Support Services Initial Facilitator Training Workshop helps new volunteers to understand their role and strengthen the knowledge and skills needed to facilitate a Parent Support Circle. The PSS Initial Facilitator Training Workshop is also available to professionals who wish to hone their facilitation skills and learn more about the PSS self-help facilitation model. Sample Initial Facilitator Training Outline
The Parent Support Services Initial Facilitator Training Workshop is held 2-3 times per year for 2.5 days, usually over a weekend.
Friday: 6 pm - 9:30 pm
Saturday: 9 am - 5:15 pm
Sunday: 9 am - 5:15 pm
Occasionally, the Initial Facilitator Training Workshop is held over three weekdays, or a combination of weekend and weekdays, depending on participant and trainer schedules.
Vancouver, Victoria, Central Island, Prince George
The PSS Initial Facilitator Training Workshop is FREE to volunteers of the Parent Support Services Society of BC who have applied for a Volunteer Parent Support Circle position in their communities, and who have made a volunteer commitment to Parent Support Services of at least one year.
The Initial Facilitator Training fee is $350 for individuals and/or professionals from community agencies who are interested in participating for skill development. The training fee includes a complete training manual with resources, a Facilitator's Handbook, luches, and snacks.
