Volunteer Child Minding Coordinator
Function:
This position will assist in providing a quality
child minding/play group program for children birth
to 5 years, whose families are accessing the Parent
Support Circle Program. The assistant must be able
to carry out assigned tasks delegated by the Child
Minding Program Coordinator.
Recruitment requirements:
- Experiences in child care field i.e., daycare,
and/or playgroups.
- Experience in working with children requiring
extra support is an asset.
- Proven ability in working as a collaborative
team member.
- Approved Criminal Records Search.
- A current First Aid certificate is an asset
Responsibilities:
Program Planning, Delivery and Client Care
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of
child minding/play groups for children whose
parents are attending the Parent Support Circle
Program.
- Maintain confidentiality as per Parents Support
Circle policies.
- Assist with physical set up of the child
minding room.
- Assist with cleanliness and maintenance of
PSC toys and equipment.
- Be responsive to the Ministry for Child And
Family Development guidelines with respect to
child abuse and neglect.
