Kim Brown

Program Coordinator Prince George

Kim was born in Hazelton and raised in Prince Rupert, BC. Kim is from the Gitk’san Nation and is a member of the Gitanmaax Band. Her clan is the killer whale clan. Kim and her husband are parents to their 17-year-old son and three daughters who are 15-years-old, 4-years-old, and 2-years old.

“While parenting is one of the toughest jobs, it is also one of the most rewarding. Support and understanding has helped me through some of the most difficult stages of parenting. I’m always excited to see what the next stage of their lives will bring.”

Kim has a background in counselling working with young children and has attained a Master of Education with a specialization in Counselling at the University of Northern BC in Prince George.  Kim also has worked in community development with other initiatives supporting early childhood education and supporting children with special needs.
