Prince George Parenting Circles

Parent Support Services is proud to be in partnership with Hadih Community House. Hadih House offers several groups ranging in topics from wellness, health, skill building, finances, and parenting.

  •  Hadih House Family Unity Parent Support Circle (2105 Pine St) At Family Unity families cook together and enjoy a meal, parents talk about how they are feeling about their children and themselves. They find understanding, support and encouragement to be the parents they want to be and enjoy a healthy meal. Free for everyone. Offered twice a month from 2-5 pm (must call to register).   •  Hadih House Women’s Wellness Parent Support Circle (2105 Pine St)  This women’s only group, meets weekly. The Circle allows participants to get together, talk about parenting issues, find support, learn from one another. There will sometimes be guest speakers.   • Hadih House Parent Support Circle. (2105 Pine St) Meets weekly.  Parents get together and talk about parenting issues, find support, learn from one another and meet others. Prince George Grandparents (Kinship) Circles

  • Prince George Native Friendship Centre Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Circle                        (1600 3rd Ave) Grandparenting support group for grandparents who are raising and/or the primary caregivers for their grandchildren. The Village Newsletter

The Village Parent Resource Registry is a registry of programs, resources and services for parents in the Prince George community.

The Village is

  • A valuable resource for parents in the community
  • An indispensable referral tool for service providers who work with parents
  • A cooperative network to increase access to and knowledge of parenting services

The Village is available monthly, with updated and new information about what’s happening for parents in the community. It is available on our website, by email, or a hard copy can be mailed.

  • GRG Circle in Kelowna Free Confidential Learn new ways to nurture you grandchildren and discuss: Changes in Social Life; Financial Issues; Health Issues; Retirement Plans; Unique Family Structures. Open to all grandparents raising a grandchild and other relatives raising a family member’s child. On site child minding. Modays 10-12 noon.     Interior Region Facilitator Training

    PSS Initial Facilitator Training helps new volunteers to understand their role and strengthen the knowledge and skills needed to facilitate a parenting or grandparenting Support Circle. PSS Initial Facilitator Training is also available to professionals who wish to hone their group facilitation skills and learn more about the PSS self-help and co-facilitation model.
