Mark International Grandparent’s Day – Sept.  10th

On September 10th, Parent Support Services Society of BC is asking people – where ever they live in BC – to celebrate the role of grandparents in our lives.

Grandparents Day is a day to celebrate all grandparents. Parent Support Services Society of BC is asking folk also think about the growing number of grandparents, and other relatives, who take on the enormous responsibility of parenting when the parents are unable. In BC there are more than 13,000 children being raised full time by their grandparents (or other relatives) when the parents are unable. (Reasons include addiction, other health issues and even death.)
