In Solidarity With the T’exelcemc, and All Indigenous Communities

PSS stands in solidarity and in grieving with the news that has come out from the T’exelcemc (people of the Williams Lake First Nation), and of the Secwepemc (Shuswap) Nation.

These findings only reflect a fraction of the trauma that Indigenous peoples faced and still face today, and the legacy of residential schools is as much an issue of the present as it is of the recent past.

We are sending our love and support to Indigenous peoples across the province and country, knowing that there is still much vital work to be done towards Truth & Reconciliation. We hope that people can find the time and space to grieve, heal, and connect in love and support as well with each other.
