Jane Bouey

Program Manager – Advocacy and Mobilization

Jane started work at PSS in the Fall of 2013 as the Executive Assistant with a focus on  communications. In April 2019, Jane began managing PSS’s kinship care research and mobilization project. In April 2022, Jane took on the position of Program Manager – Advocacy and Mobilization and in 2023, took on the position as Iterim Executive Director.

A former school trustee, and Vice Chair of the Vancouver School Board, Jane is passionate about public education, and has spent her life working for a safer, more welcoming, inclusive and just society for children and youth. She has played a key role in the development and implementation of policy to end harassment based on sexual orientation and gender identity in schools – in Vancouver and across Canada.

Jane co-managed an independent bookstore in Vancouver for almost two decades, and was a volunteer co-host and producer of a current affairs radio program on community radio.
